Traditional Face and Eye Detection with Python

Face detector is once of most interesting to learn in image processing, today I have tried code face detector using opencv in python 3.7. You can do it at your computer, but before you do, make sure you have installed opencv library.  If you have no installed, my articles before can guide you to install.

First think you do is download this image and saved it as “tes.jpg”.

Second think, pick up haarcascade file from opencv folder installation, usually its located at “C:\Program Files\opencv\sources\data\haarcascades”. Copy paste,  all file in “haarcascades folder” to folder where you saved image file. Afte that, write this code and save in seem folder with image file.


If your code is correct, you can see interesting image like this

Now, we can improve our code with eye detector.
